Sunset Personal Project

For this design, I was inspired by Apple lock screens. I initially tried to make the design look like my current lock screen on my monitor at school, so I chose to use vibrant pinks and purples, but when I was playing around with transparency modes I found that I preferred the combination of filters that made it look sepia because it matches the color scheme of my profile pretty well. I had a lot of freedom to do what I wanted with this so I was able to jump into it and start without doing any rough drafts or planning, so it only took me about two hours to make. I'm particularly proud the cloud in front of the sun. Giving it a gradient with full opacity that fades into 20% opacity makes it look like the sun is sun is shining through it, which is pretty neat. I was also planning on doing mountains at first, but most of the time when I see designs like this it's mountains and I didn't want to make something that looks exactly like everything else. If I could, I would have liked to change the shapes of some of the clouds because the clouds that are more complex looking make the sky look less fluid and unified than I could have liked.
